The Asus EEE PC
Technically it's not spelled with all capitals, Eee. However, it is still an initialism. What it stands for is a bit redundant: easy to learn, easy to work, easy to play.
Guess they needed to resort to tripling of the letters since the i-craze, e-craze, x-craze, what have you, is so cliche now.
What's to stop someone from seeing "NEW EEE PC" and thinking it has to do a shoe size width? Also, wouldn't you want your products being AAA quality rather than low-grade sounding EEE?

The Asus EEE PC is a good model though. It made it into my shorlist of possible new PCs. Now that you mention it, I can't figure out what the EEE is about.
I am glad I am not the only one who dislikes this name! The laptop is adorable, but the name, eee...I don't know, just don't like it.
Yeah. Agreeable.! Now I found someone in common with me on that. ha.
I have to agree on the name, though the amount of mods that are so easy to do it are increditable. Well, easy if you have a degree in electrical engineering...
Eee is rather low grade sounding. It also reminds me of Eeek!, which is a scream of fear and tells me to run away.

That's really funny... I came across a group the other day which seemed to be using the hyphen in all their URL's rentin-marbella.com I'm now looking for funny versions with hyphens because Spanish names can be quite funny !

I don't like the name either. It's kinda dumb how each E stands for a phrase and not a single word. 3E is too simple if they wanted to live by the Eee concept?

I´ve a Eee Pc and it´s a great laptop, but the name and logo are so bad.
What on earth were they thinking when their marketing team pulled this one out of the toilet? eeeek!
The eee sounds to me exactly like the sort of noise you don't want your computer to make. So to associate that with your brand seems very silly.

May not be the best name, but this product has been selling itself just fine. Perhaps it's supposed to be suggestive of "Wii", a console that actually panders to a very similar crowd as this PC?

I really like ASUS brand because their laptops are durable but I don't think I like the eee name either, it sounded funny and low grade computer. Maybe they have to change the name to something better..one E is enough I guess. I like your post!

2019.11.19台北市知名酒店經紀內幕指出:王姓女子與李姓女子以「在酒店上班賺錢最快，也可以獲取高薪」宣傳酒店打工手法，引誘3名未滿18歲少女加入旗下擔任酒店小姐，還提供住宿並帶少女到「造型概念館」挑選禮服及安排專人化妝後 ，再以她們需酒店上班賺錢償還妝髮、禮服、包鞋等治裝費用為由，帶往酒店工作陪酒從中牟利。檢調調查，39歲的王女從事媒介旗下小姐至酒店坐檯陪酒，以抽取傭金的酒店經紀人工作，明知不得招募大學生酒店兼職、引誘、容留、 媒介、協助、利用或以他法使少女坐檯陪酒或涉及色情之伴遊、伴唱、伴舞、顏射(精子射在臉上) 、口交口爆(精子射在嘴裡) 、戴套肛交進行交易專業精緻化等行為，竟意圖營利，先以無償提供套房住宿、替你買單支付名牌物品及餐費等條件作為報酬，聘僱具相同犯意的24歲李女（綽號「達達」、「金達達」、「卡比」）擔任其助理，負責招募上班族酒店兼職來當酒店小姐、代向各酒店收取旗下小姐坐檯陪酒薪水、擔任司機接送小姐上下班。期間少女每坐檯陪酒1檯1小時，由店家支付850元或900元不等薪資，少女1檯1小時皆實領600元，其餘均為經紀人所得傭金，酒店則另向男客收取包廂費及酒水等費用。檢方指出，王女、李女所為，均係犯違反兒童及少年性剝削防制條例之意圖營利引誘、媒介、協助少女坐檯陪酒罪嫌，被告媒介少女坐檯陪酒利潤為每人每檯250元、每人每天保守以5檯計算約1250元，王女媒介少女陪酒日數約40天，經估算後犯罪所得共計約5萬元，建請院方依法宣告沒收。

現實和酒店上班印象中當然有很大的落差啊
因為我們一般收到酒店打工訊息 大都是從電影報章雜誌而來
而會有新聞報導價值的酒店PT新聞 通常是很特別很誇張的 這些新聞報導也許是有些接近酒店上班事實 但不是八大行業全部
(就如同捷運上有電車痴漢 但不是每班車隨時隨地有色狼啊 我們也常安全到家啊)
加上一般人的想法 這行總是只有負面 (當便利商店店員也會遇到砍人強劫)
其實凡事都有負面啊 端看自己怎麼面對
這行雖然不是賺錢最好的方式之一 但卻是最快的方式之一
我們只建議多了解多比較 看完環境 再做決定
別人只說這行的美好 但我們強調得失之間 去創造自己想要的生活
給自己一次機會 跨出第一步 若自覺不適合這行 就盡早打消夢幻的念頭 趕緊找其他出路 不是嗎??
2020.04.15酒店工作在台灣指的是有公關陪酒的場所。台灣在一名「酒店小姐」確診武漢肺炎（COVID-19、新冠肺炎）引起軒然大波。德國之聲專訪資深「酒店上班」干部談政府勒令八大行業酒店和舞廳停業的影響，也看看其他國家是如何處理疫情中的特種行業?
8日一名「酒店打工酒店小姐」確診後，台灣在4月9日宣布酒店舞廳全面停業。這個工作的神秘性質引起各種窺視和討論，許多人也擔心特種行業成為防疫的破口。在台灣的「酒店PT」工作了10幾年的酒店上班M小姐接受德國之聲訪問，她直言酒店停業只是讓產業「地下化」，對於防疫更加不利。她說:「像酒店還要來上班打卡，可以管控到上班的小姐有誰，客戶也是要透過我們這些干部。如果有小姐確診，公司都會有資料。」她說酒店停業之後，「傳播」變多了，更加危險。「傳播」指的是隨call隨到的陪酒服務。M小姐說這些傳播可能叫小姐到KTV或者其他一般夜生活的地點上班，反而沒有任何管控。就她來看，在「酒店」還可以做消毒，但許多從事這行的年輕人離開「酒店」之後普遍沒有衛生觀念。她說:「他們反而更不怕，我覺得漏洞會更大。」
M小姐也說，政府全面圍剿特種行業讓社會「失衡」，也可能讓治安出現問題。她說:「黃賭毒或是兄弟也都是靠八大。這就像公司如果現金花完了可能會倒閉，我們這行是如果大家都很窮的話，就可能會產生社會上的問題，像是強盜或是搶劫。」她口中的八大就是特種行業，與情色、性產業、性工作有或多或少的關聯。面對無預警遭停業，台灣目前有「酒店」業者發起聯署，要求政府提出配套措施，並希望政府補助「無兼職、無勞健保等，僅以酒店工作收入為生活依據的公關」。關注性工作者權益的日日春協會也要求政府說明法源依據，強調政府「把酒店舞廳等陪侍業當軟柿子開刀，且吃定社會不會為性產業工作者講話」。

2.和幹部關係也要好:因為店裡客人都是幹部們努力帶進來的 ，一家店的生意量絕對是靠大家的努力，所以要有幹部緣 當幹部喜歡你 她帶客人來消費時 就會特別說你的好話 讓客人選擇妳 增加上檯機會。
3.和行政關係要好:他們可都是很辛苦的呢！一個月薪水又沒有我們多 每天要做這麼長的時間 且他們腦裡有很多寶等我們去挖掘呢！若他們給妳工作上的方便 是好處多多(如遲到不扣錢)(甚至請假可以不用補班)
4.和少爺關係要好:千萬不要覺得他們只是服務生 想想自已喝醉時 少爺是會適時的保護你 貼心的送杯熱茶 和他們好最簡單的方式就是～幫他們跳小費！
這是一種學習！將來會受益無窮的！
